Walter Payton

The autograph I would most want to own would be Walter Payton. As a lifelong football fan, I always respected Payton – the aggressive running style, the records he set, and the lack of grandstanding (Payton didn’t believe in end zone celebrations). After he retired, I learned about how Payton was an upstanding citizen and family man. Before Payton died in 1999, he helped organ donation rates in Illinois skyrocket, as he raised awareness on the issue.
