Strangler Lewis Autograph

by Robert Sutcliffe
(Pennsylvania)

My uncle was an amateur boxer in the 1930s-1940s. I inherited his autograph book which has several dozen boxing and wrestling autographs in it. It even has a Joe DiMaggio autograph. My uncle was a 4 time bronze star recipient, tank destroyer commander in World War II, and this autograph book is not bogus. Many are dated autographs. I would like to know the value of said autograph book to sell. My e-mail address is sutcliffe@epix.net. thank you Robert Sutcliffe

Autograph Book

Strangler Lewis autographs are not easy to find. Collectors of vintage wrestling memorabilia are few in number, but they are very serious about their collections. They might pay you $50 for that autograph, more on a good day.

The Joe DiMaggio autograph is worth $150. Though it is worth more than the Strangler Lewis, it might take longer to sell. Wrestling collectors tend to buy what they want as soon as they see it because it might be a long time before they see another one and baseball autograph collectors wait on a good one.
