Signed Happy Days Script and Letter

by Doug Gold
(San Rafael, CA)

I have a script from the, "A Touch of Classical" episode of Happy Days, signed by Henry Winkler and a letter signed by Winkler that accompanied the script. He donated these to a charity auction at Beth Emet Synagogue in Evanston, IL.

Both the letter and the script are in good condition.

Any idea what they are worth?

Thanks,

Signed Happy Days Script and Letter
by: Bill

The Fonz was one of TV's most well known characters in the 1970s and the early 1980s. He was originally a minor character on "Happy Days." The writers gave him more screen time as the character's popularity continued to grow. It kept growing until he was the most popular character on the show. When Ron Howard left in 1980, he got top billing.

It was practically impossible to get Henry Winkler's autograph during the original run of Happy Days. Since the show ended, he's signed enough autographs to keep values low. A signed photo as the Fonz might brings about $25.

The letter and script together might bring $100, maybe more if the right collector finds it. It is probably more valuable to an entertainment collector than it would be to an autograph collector. There are collectors of classic TV memorabilia, and some are so in love with Happy Days that that's all they collect.
