Rose Kennedy Signed Letter

by Mr. Tim Fitzgerald
(Rapid City, SD)

My great-grandmother, Elisabeth Gronlund was a baby nurse for wealthy families in and around Boston, MA in the early 1920s. At one time she worked for Rose Kennedy. I have a letter from Mrs. Kennedy about my great-grandmother written on a personalized note card of Mrs. Kennedy's that would have been used as a letter of reference.

It is signed by Mrs. Kennedy and is dated October 21, 1920. I believe the baby of the family would have been Eunice Kennedy Shriver who recently passed away and it is likely that is who my great grandmother would have been caring for.

Just wondering about the value of the card and if there would be a place to donate the card if that is available.

A Rose Kennedy handwritten letter is worth about $250. With your story, yours might be worth more. I don't know where you could donate it, but I'm certain some nonprofit would want it.

I will leave this thread open for comments. Maybe someone will know where you could find it a good home.
