Richard and Pat Nixon Photo & Autograph w/ David and Jennie Eisenhower

(PA)

I went to school with Jennie Eisenhower and in 5th and 6th grade we played on the same softball team. Her dad, David, was one of our coaches.

One time during a game her grandparents came to watch us play, which was quite funny looking back because as a 5th grader, we knew her grandfather was president but that's it.

Parents from both sides including the coaches, with the exception of ours, didn't pay attention to our game. All of us on the field could not figure out what the big to do was. It's like our game did not exist.

Needless to say we won and from that game on Mr. Eisenhower knew that we had a secret weapon-- just ask the grandparents to come and we'd be a shoe-in to win. We went on to to win the championship that year.

President Nixon and Mrs. Nixon along with our entire team and coaches all got a picture together and Nixon personally addressed and autographed each of our pics.

Mr and Mrs Eisenhower got them framed and gave them to each of us for our winning season. By far, Mr. and Mrs. Eisenhower were some of the nicest parents I grew up knowing. To this day whenever I see Mrs. Eisenhower she always asks what I'm up to and Jennie is a complete sweetheart.

I've always been curious about the value of that autographed photo! Thank you for anything you can tell me and have a great day!

Thanks for that story.

The typical Richard Nixon signed photo is worth $300 to an autograph collector. To a political memorabilia collector, yours might be worth more than that because it shows a side of him that isn't often seen.
