I picked up this Richard Nixon autograph at a trade show. On the reverse is a note from Nixon Bodyguard John Cafaro requesting Nixon to sign this for a friend, Pete.

The autograph is worth about $200. The extra documentation adds value. If I wanted to add a Richard Nixon autograph to my collection, I would pay an extra $50 for the bodyguard note.
Some collectors might pay more.

There are a few collectors who only collect Nixon memorabilia, and most of them would want this autograph in their collection.

One nice thing about the autographs of presidents - there's the probability that they will increase in value over time.
