Photo Owner

In the late 1940s my sister worked in a stationary shop. One day I was there and a salesman made a call. All in the shop knew him. He said that he was a friend of Gene Autry and to prove it, he would get me an autographed picture of him. About 2 weeks later I received the autographed black and white 8X10 of Gene Autry signed, "To Eddie from your pal Gene Autry." Later we wrote on the back of the photo "1948 or 1949" because no one was really sure of the year and date.

I would like to sell this picture, but not surprisingly, I am a novice at this. I am looking for a value and a place to sell it.

I've included a couple of pictures one of which is to show the autograph. I'm still learning digital photography and not very good at it - yet.
