Paul Newman Autograph

I worked at the Michigan Speedway in 1996 as a host in the Ford Suite. Paul Newman and his wife, Joanne Woodward were special guests in the suite. In our small talk about where I was going to college, I served him a Vernors.

Prior to leaving, I asked him for his autograph. He told me "I usually won't do this unless I am working". He signed my workers badge and told me keep it under my breath.

It is in mint condition and has never been out of the protective case. Could someone tell me what this is worth? I could kick myself for not knowing who he was married to and asking for Joanne Woodward's autograph as well.

I have not been able to find anything like this in my searches over the years.

On the other side of my badge is the Autograph of Indy Car drive Raul Boesel.

Paul Newman

Paul Newman hated signing autographs. He was usually very polite to fans-- he just didn't like signing. He did sign on occasion, usually saying in essence "Don't tell anybody." If you type "Paul Newman" in the search box at upper right there are several good stories and comments regarding value.

Joanne Woodward was very good about signing autographs. She wouldn't have minded signing at all.
