Pat Paulson for President

I was a waitress at Lou's Restaurant in Hanover NH in 1972 when Pat Paulson came in while campaigning for president. He signed one of Lou's menus when I asked him. I taped the menu to a scrapbook page and put it away.

If I knew then what I know now, it would have been preserved differently. However, if you peel away the tape, the menu is complete with the 1972 prices in it.

I've been schlepping this around for almost 40 years and ready to chuck it.

Is it worth anything? (I resized the scan to 50% - the menu is 8-1/2" x 11".)

Pat Paulson for President Autograph

I like that autograph. Menus are nice collectibles, and having the autograph makes it special. I remember Pat Paulson from The Smothers Brothers Show. Other than the Smothers, he was the main talent on that show, and it was where he announced his run for the presidency.

Paulsen's autograph should be worth more. He was a well-known name at one time, and one of America's best comedians. Today most people haven't thought of him in years, if they remember him at all. His autograph is worth $10.

If it were mine, I'd keep it.
