Owen Hart

by Thea Depper
(Kelowna, BC, Canada)

My Owen Hart Experience

My Owen Hart Experience

Back in the glory days of Stampede Wrestling (1980s) when Stu Hart was still training guys to wrestle, I would go to all the wrestling events in the area. One Saturday evening in Edmonton, Alberta, I was waiting for Owen Hart to arrive at the Coliseum. He arrived just shortly after I bought a photo of him. When he passed by me, I gave him a pat on the arm. Well he thought that he was going to back-hand me across the face! He eventually realized that I was a girl and didn't hit me, but I still asked him to sign my photo, and he did sign it for me.

What is it worth?

Owen Hart Signed Photo
by: Bill

Owen Hart died in 1999, at the young age of 34, as a result of an equipment malfunction during a televised wrestling show. The harness that was lowering Hart (as the Blue Blazer) from the rafters of Kemper Arena in Kansas City, Missouri opened too early and he fell 78 feet to his death.

Owen Hart was one of the better wrestlers in WWE at the time. Dealers list signed photos of Owen Hart WWE in the $50 range. Blue Blazer signed photos list for four times that.
