Nelson Rockefeller Autograph with Pen Used to Sign a Bill

by Rob Abner
(New York)

I have a framed bill that was signed by Governor of NY Nelson Rockefeller in 1966. It includes the pen that was used to sign the bill. Is it of any value?

If your document is authentically signed by Nelson Rockefeller, and I suspect it is because you also have the pen, it is worth about $50. Pricing the entire presentation piece is a little tougher because it is difficult to find comparable "sold" prices.

I would guess that it would be worth more than a couple hundred dollars if it is nicely framed. Something like this looks good on office walls and sometimes becomes more valuable as a decorative item than it is an autographed item.

It does have potential to grow in value because Nelson Rockefeller went on to achieve much more than the average governor and he belonged to a famous family.
