NASCAR Signed Press Book

As a second year teacher in 1991, I had a student named Brian S. in my Health and P.E. class. One day in January 1992, I walked into health class carrying a copy of "The Official NASCAR 92 Yearbook and Press Guide" on top of my teacher text and attendance book.

Brian or (Bryan, I can't remember spelling)saw my book and asked, "Coach, do you want me to get that signed for you?" I laughed and asked how he was going to do that. He then reminded me that his dad, Mark S. was part owner of Tri-Star Motorsports here in Hendersonville NC, and that he would be in Daytona for the 500 later in February. I thought he was just messing with me, but later, after some confirmation from his classmates, I agreed.

He brought the press guide back with the following autographs:

Derrike Cope
Dale Earnhardt (Sr. of course)
Bill Elliott
Harry Gant
Bobby Hamilton
Bobby Hillin
Ernie Irvan
Alan Kulwicki
Dave Marcus
Sterlin Marlin
Kyle Petty
Richard Petty
Ricky Rudd
Hut Stricklin
Rusty Wallace
Darrell Waltrip

I have no reason to believe that these autographs are anything but authentic. I eventually met Brian's parents and was given a tour of the race shop along with some merchandise. His mom confirmed that Brian had acquired these autographs while running around in the pits and garage. I am curious as to how much this press guide is worth and if there is a market, after all it contains 4 autographs of deceased drivers. Any polite advice is welcomed.
