Minnie Pearl and Grandpa Jones Signed Photos

I was at a flea market in Alabama and came across two autograph 8 x 10 black and white signed photos, one of Minnie Pearl and one of Grandpa Jones. The seller said they belonged to her ex-husband and she was selling everything that he had. I only paid $1.00 each.

I also bought one 8 x 10 signed by Koko and Rex.

All are in excellent condition. How much are they worth?

Minnie Pearl and Grandpa Jones were very popular , and both are in the Country Music Hall of Fame, which insures that neither will be forgotten.

Both of them were very good to autograph collectors, and they signed through the mail through most of their long careers. This means that there is a huge supply of their autographs in the marketplace. However, as that supply shrinks, values should rise, and in fact they already for Minnie Pearl.

At retail, your grandpa Jones photo is worth about $35 and your Minnie Pearl photo about $100.

Koko and Rex are Rex Allen and his "wonder horse, Koko. A lot of people today are going to remember Allen from his narration of Walt Disney's "Wonderful World of Color" nature episodes. He was also the voice of many Disney cartoon characters. Before Disney, he was a singing cowboy in the movies. Allen even had his own comic book and character toys. Considering that his character crosses over to so many collectible genres, his autographed photos are inexpensive at $25.

Those are good buys at $1 each, for sure.
