Lucille Ball - Signed Lucy

In early April 1987 I wrote to Lucille Ball to tell her how much I enjoyed her comedy. I had grown up watching her show, "I Love Lucy", and yearned to be like her-- always happy, figuring ways to do things and using her comedy to give others a laugh.
I wrote that I wanted my son to grow up watching her, as I did, and genuinely enjoy life. My son, now in his late 30's has enjoyed her comedy. Lucy did write me back, on her canary yellow monogrammed stationery.
She was pleased to know how much I and my family had enjoyed watching her shows. She also wrote of how much she appreciated my kind words. She simply signed her letter, "Lucy." All I can say is, that the older I get, the more I enjoy and appreciate her giving my heart joy which renews every time I watch her!

What a great story. "I Love Lucy" never gets old for me. I have seen all of the episodes so many times, but still laugh at them. She was a comedy genius.
