Loretta Lynn Autograph Frank Fontaine Autograph

My mother passed away a few years ago and left me a box of old record albums. In it I found an autographed photo of Frank Fontaine. On the back of the picture was written in ink, Jan. 18th, 1964, in person @ hospital and my mothers name Janet M. Merchant. I also found an autographed photo of Loretta Lynn. I live in Anchorage, Alaska, and I am unsure where to take these for authentication. I appreciate any help with these. Thank you, April L Merchant

I wouldn't have them authenticated. Neither are so valuable that it would be feasible to pay someone to authenticate them.

I'm not an authenticator but the Loretta Lynn autograph looks real to me. She has always been good about signing, so there is no real incentive to forge her autograph. That will change in the future, when she ceases signing and the supply dwindles. She is a country music legend, and her autograph will be much more valuable later. Right now a signed photo is worth about $50.

Not many people today remember Frank Fontaine. He was a a frequent guest on TV shows like The Jack Benny Show and The Jackie Gleason Show. A signed photo might bring $10 on a good day, but more likely would not find a buyer even at that.
