Larry Bird is one of the best shooting forwards in the history of basketball. He and Magic Johnson had one of the best (and friendliest) rivalries in basketball history.

The Celtics signed him to a $3,250,000 - 5 year contract, a record at the time. No doubt that was a lot of money to a poor boy from French Lick, Indiana.

Playing for the Boston Celtics his entire career, he led the team to five NBA Finals, winning three championships.

In 1998, Bird was named NBA Coach of the Year (Indiana Pacers).
