John Wayne Signed Photo

My dad just recently passed, and he had a John Wayne photo that was signed in 1970 at old Tucson. I was just wondering how much it may be worth? I can send a picture if you would like. I searched on eBay and only found one original. It was just a signature on a piece of paper, signed in 1976. It was going for $1250.

John Wayne is one of the most collectible of Old Hollywood movie stars. Authentic autographs continue to grow in value with each passing year.

$1250 is on the high end for a John Wayne autograph, but some dealers stick a high price on them because they know it might be a long time before they are able to have another one in their inventory. $750 might be a more realistic price if a dealer actually want to sell it quickly.

A good authentically signed John Wayne photo might bring more than $2000. And even at that price it might be a good buy.

I am at a loss as to how much this book I have may be worth. It is the book the movie "The Devil's Brigade" was based on. My grandmother had worked on the movie set and during the filming of the movie she had, I believe, all the cast and crew of the movie sign the book.I am sure there isn't another one like it, I know it has the signatures of Andrew Prine, William Holden and a bunch more in the book. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

The value depends on who else signed the book. William Holdens's signature is worth $100 - $125. Andrew Prine, maybe $10. On the book, a collector might pay more than $125.
