Jimi Hendrix Autograph

by Cody Powers
(Arlington, TX. USA)

In 2002 I came in to possession of an autograph by legendary guitar player Jimi Hendrix. My father purchased it for me for my birthday for approximately $750 from a reputable source with COA. The autograph is very solid and legible and appears on a slip of otherwise blank paper approximately 4x6 inches in size. The paper is somewhat yellowed with age but that is the extent of any deterioration, all portions of the autograph are visible and well within the dimensions of the paper. Any help you could provide as to its value (assuming it is authentic) is appreciated.

I was searching Ebay when I came across a JIMI HENDRIX autograph. It was very legible on a piece of yelow paper, framed. It had a COA and came from a collector who was at the time selling Joplin, Morrison, and The Dead autos. When the smoke cleared, I won it for $340.00!!! I recieved it in the mail and it's beautiful! I've wanted JIMI'S autograph for many years and my dream came true.

Jimi Hendrix Autograph

Your father got a good deal in 2002 if the Jimi Hendrix autograph is authentic. Today, it is worth about three times the $750 that he paid. Most Hendrix autographs are on scraps of paper. In the 1960s, rock fans rarely brought memorabilia to shows, and autograph dealers didn't chase rock stars, waving photos and record albums at them. The yellowing doesn't affect value.
