JFK Signed Photo

by Kirk Aldrich

I have an autographed picture of JFK. My mother was active in the Young Democrat's Party in the early 1960s, and she had friend take a picture of JFK when he was campaigning in Toledo Oh.

After he was elected, she mailed the picture to the White House and asked if he would sign it. He did and sent it back to her. It is still in the original envelope addressed to my mother, stating "From The White House" on it.

It is an 8x10 black and white photo, and I can tell it is an actual signature, not a stamp. I have been online and seen copies of his signature, and it looks to be exact.

I would like to know what is may be worth. I don't have the ability to scan it to post it, but I may be able to have some one do it for me.

Thanks for anything you can tell me.

JFK

I have seen pictures of his correct signature online before and it does look to be correct. There is also a slight smudge from which an pen would make, so I know it is an actual signature. The only thing I guess I need to have to find out if it is actually his. I will try to get photo scanned,so I can post it. I would like to get it verified somehow.

You almost certainly do not have an authentic autograph on the photo. JFK used secretaries to answer routine correspondence with preprints and the autopen. If it is authentic, it would be worth $4,000 - $5,000.
