Jackie Gleason Rehearsals

You mentioned that Jackie Gleason would read a script only minutes before walking onstage. That is a myth - I have in my Gleason collection, which spans 1952-1985, unique unpublished candid rehearsal photographs with basic props (a table really and three chairs) and he is clearly seen with reading glasses and a script as are the others - in many photographs.
