Harry Truman Vice-President Elect Signature on Boy Scout Memorabilia

My uncle was a Boy Scout who attained the 'rank' of Eagle Scout. Eagle Scouts receive a special eagle pin and ribbon once they reach Eagle Scout status. He had many patches and pins which were attached to an awards sash. He had his sash and Eagle Scout pin put in a presentation case along with a note from then Vice President elect Harry Truman.

Attached are pictures of the award case showing the sash, Eagle Scout pin and the 'Best Wishes' note which was signed by then Vice President elect Harry Truman. The signed note dates back to either late 1944 or January 1945 before he was sworn into office.

Please help me determine the value of this important piece of American life and a possible avenue of sale of the item.
