Harold 'Odd Job' Sakata

by Kenny

I have two autographed photos of Harold Sakata addressed to my mother and father. He is wearing his wrestling outfit in both of them, two different poses. Are these photos of any value? Looking forward to hearing from you.

Harold Sakata Autograph
by: Bill

This is a tough one. They certainly have value, but there are a lot of variables. If he signed Tosh Togo, his wrestling ring name, the photos would be valued as little as $100 each. They could very well go for much more than that if a James Bond collector doesn't have one in his collection. Two Bond collectors bidding against one another could easily drive the price much beyond $100. On the other hand, I have seen Tosh Togo autographs sell for much less than $100, because the seller didn't know that he was Odd Job in Goldfinger. I have a nice signature in my collection. I paid very little for it because the seller didn't know.

If he signed the photos Harold Sakata, it would be worth in the hundreds, maybe over a thousand. If he inscribed it, mentioning his Odd Job role or added a sketch of his flying steel rimmed bowler hat, it would be worth closer to $2000.

James Bond collectors drive the value of his autograph, not wrestling collectors. Old school wrestling collectors certainly would like to have it, but they are unlikely to pay much for the Bond connection.
