George Reeves Autograph George Reves Signed Postcard

I have owned this piece for about four years, and would like to have it officially authenticated. Where can I have this done?

I bought this from an older retired autograph collector. It has no paperwork with it. He bought it from a collector and said George Reeves signed it at famous NY Bar in late 1946, before he became SUPERMAN.

Hi, I stumbled upon your website. As for your main question, where do you send it to get it authenticated, I would agree that either PSA/DNA of JSA are your best bet . I happen to deal with JSA a little more because they tend to make less errors, are able to work with me since I do have alot of autographs, and are a little more avaiable. I do have an authenticated George Reeves autograph, which unfortunetly doesnt look like your postcard. You are of course, more than welcome to see if if you want to contact me and I can email it to you. My email's clarkkent2332@yahoo.com . I like you am a Superman fan and have a huge collection of pretty much every actor to play him...just missing a few really hard ones to get. Hope that this info helps and I look foward to talking to you.

Thank you, I have looked at all other I could find for sale, and it appears to be his. I checked the post card, and it is from the correct time period.
I just hate to mail it anywhere, but plan to keep it in my collection, since I have the other LOIS LANE,and SUPERMAN autographs, except Bender the last superboy.

George Reeves Autograph

The two most prominent autograph authenticators are PSA/DNA and JSA. I don't recommend specific companies, but you can start your research with those, and then Google for more.

If I owned that autograph, I'd use Google to find authentic George Reeves autographs and compare mine to those and decide for myself if it was real or not. Of course, if you are planning to sell it through eBay or other similar "end buyer" venues, an approval from a well known company might help it sell for more money.

A dealer would decide for himself if it was authentic, and you wouldn't need a stamp of approval from a third party if you went that route.

If it is authentic, most dealers would list your autograph in the $600 - $800 range.
