Frank Belknap Long Letter

I met Frank Belknap Long at a small party held in his honor in 1975, here in New Jersey. We exchanged a few letters after that. I have one page, handwritten letter-- he used a fountain pen even then-- and a postcard. In each letter he thanked me for comments I made on his poetry and for photocopying some material which he could not find, and he complained about the number of difficulties he and his wife were having. Long was 75 at the time.

Long as you may know was, at least for a while, Howard Philips Lovecraft's closest friend. Long wrote a number short stories and novels, not to mention poetry.
