Erle Stanley Gardner's Autograph and Dedication

This is in the book, The Case of the Mischievous Doll. It has Erle Stanley Gardner's autograph along with a certification that this one book was the first copy of the publication. There is another printed page by the publisher attesting to this as well. Gardner's written (printed) preface to the book is dedicated to Major Wm. R. Rule, thanking him for his forensic guidance in writing the book. The book is also signed to this person mentioned in the book.

Bill Rule was my brother-in-law = how I came by the book.)

Most people today are going to know Erle Stanley Gardner as the inspiration for the TV series Perry Mason. I don't know the collectible value of the book, but I think it is likely that it has a collectible value beyond the autograph. Gardner's autograph is worth about $100.

Google rare book dealers and you might find your edition of this book and possibly their list price for an inscribed, signed copy.
