Doris Day Signed Book and Letter

I have a signed book of Doris Day and a letter which she sent to my great aunt who was a friend of hers. It is genuine. My aunt was a seamstress in America and her husband was Ben Wigley who was once an an actor that played small parts in films.

My aunt used to help Doris rescue dogs.

I would like to know the value if any of the book and letter (which does have her address, but I'm not sure if she still lives there.)

Doris Day Signed Book and Letter
by: Bill

Many people today have forgotten what a huge star Doris Day was. For a time, she was Hollywood's biggest star, and might still be the number one female draw in Hollywood history.

Even her most productive years in Hollywood, she was nice to autograph collectors. That means that there is an abundant supply of her autographs. That said, her autograph has grown in value over the last few years, and as supply shrinks, values should continue to increase.

Today a signature is worth about $25 and a signed letter is worth about $50.

Your book is worth in the $50 - $75 range at retail.
