David Boreanaz

I have been a fan of this former vampire turned heroic tortured soul, who now plays a wise-cracking FBI agent on Fox's "Bones" (currently my favorite show). My first introduction to this fine actor's work was on the cult classic, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" where he fought alongside the show's namesake. On "Buffy," we saw the wide range of his talent, where he played the roles of friend, mentor, lover and occasional mortal enemy of his beloved Buffy.

As "Buffy" wound down, Boreanaz got his own spin-off, "Angel", one my favorite series of all time. Something about the dark, brooding persona portrayed on the show just resonated with me. On "Angel," especially in the first seasons, we really got to see him shine and watch him grow into the role. After all of that growth, the show's ending was a bit disappointing, both because of the less than spectacular ending and the hard fact that the show was ending.

I think I can speak for many other "Buffy" and "Angel" fans when I say that a lot of people were elated when they found out he would be on a new show- "Bones". This show hasn't let me down and I eagerly await each new episode. "Bones" replaces the magic/mysticism of the "Buffy/Angel" series with cold, hard science, resulting sometimes in hilarious consequences. I think a lot more of his personality comes through as Seely Booth (just look at Booth's vibrant socks). So like millions of other dedicated fans, I feel as though I really know the guy after over 10 years of his fine work. That being said, of course I'd love to have his autograph... hopefully either on a set of fangs or on a pair of really abstract patterned socks. :)
