Alan Kulwicki and Bill Elliot Autographs Davey Allison Autograph

In 1991, I was a young engineer and race fan working at Ford. Every year they had the Ford sponsored NASCAR drivers come for an afternoon so that we could meet them and get autographs.

I didn't have lot of time, but managed to collect the signatures of three of my favorite drivers, Alan Kulwicki, Davey Allison and Bill Elliott. They all signed on my Ford provided T-Bird poster (16-1/2" X 38"). I took it back to my desk and posted in in my cubicle where it hung for the next couple of years.

In 1993, after the death of first Alan Kulwicki and then Davey Allison, I said a prayer for Bill Elliott's safety and took my poster down.

Since then it has been kept rolled up and stored in a closet. It is certainly not pristine, but there are no actual tears and it doesn't appear to be faded at all. I know the signatures are authentic since I collected them myself, but I've never had anyone "certify" them.

Just wondering if they might be worth something now...

You have two of the most valuable autographs in modern NASCAR. Davey Allison and Alan Kulwicki autographs are worth $100 each. Like most NASCAR drivers, they were very friendly to fans and autograph collectors, but both died young and their autographs are in short supply.

A Bill Elliot autograph is worth about $15.

Those are values for signatures only. The three signatures on an attractive poster like the one you have is worth more, maybe as much as 50% more.

If you took photos the day that they signed, or can get copies from somebody who did, they would add value to the poster.
