Count Rossi Signed Wrestling Book

I have an old 1949 book written and published by Count Rossi, a pro wrestler. He has signed this copy. There are a few other autographs inside as well. It is roughly 8X10 and it is full of black and white individual photos of top wrestlers from that time. It is in mint condition. How much is it worth?

Count Rossi - The Truth About Pro Wrestling
by: Bill

I think the book you have is "The Truth About Pro Wrestling. This is hard book to find and many wrestling memorabilia collectors would be happy to have it in their collections. The only way to find out how much it is worth would be to offer it for sale. I have never seen a signed copy. Probably the best place would be eBay. There are several collectors who search eBay every day for vintage wrestling items.

The other autographs in the book might also had to the value.

Count Rossi was both a wrestler and a manager during his career. He holds the honor of being a participant in the first cage match (1937, Atlanta). He also worked on the John Ford film Flesh" (1932), one of the first Hollywood movies where the lead actor was a wrestler. Rossi's job was to show Wallace Beery how to "act" like a wrestler.

Count Rossi Signed Wrestling Book
by: Bill

I have never seen a copy of this book. It could be one that Count Rossi printed to sell at the arenas. If so, there probably wasn't many copies to begin with, and most of them didn't survive. Without autographs, wrestling memorabilia like this usually sells for less than $25. Depending on who the other sutographs are, this could bring more. Names like Gorgeous George, Antonino Rocca, Don Eagle, Primo Carnera, Buddy Rogers. Lou Thesz - those are some of the names that bring better prices.
