Collecting Classic Television Autographs
I Love Lucy, Milton Berle, Ed Sullivan, Bonanza, the Honeymooners - that's classic television. When those shows were playing in prime time the entire family crowded around the TV set. Everybody we knew was tuning into see what Milton Berle was going to do next to make us laugh. There weren't very many people who didn't want to see Lucy's new baby. On Saturday nights from 1949 until 1955 most people were watching Gorgeous George and other colorful pro wrestling characters on the DuMont network. I miss those days when there was only one TV per home (and when the head of the house didn't have to keep his hands on the mute button of the remote when there were guests in the home). Come to think of it, I was young then, but I don't remember having a remote until well into the 1960's. I miss those days, but I do enjoy getting my Honeymooners dvds out occasionally and watching the episodes from the first to the last whenever I want. I also love collecting classic TV autographs.
