I'm not sure of the year, but when I was in elementary school from 1958-1962, our next door neighbor had a niece my age that knew Dan Blocker and his family. She spent time in the summers with them.

She gave me a 8x11 black and white glossy of Pa, Hoss, Adam, and Little Joe that was hand signed by each of them.

I've searched the Internet for known photos, but I cannot find this one. The background is totally white with just the four Cartwright men standing side by side with guns drawn. I've read that a signed photo of all of them is rare and valuable.

I don't think "rare" is the word for Bonanza cast photos. The original four starred in 202 episodes in six seasons (Pernell Roberts left after the 1964-1965 season.) The four probably signed quite a lot of cast photos on the set and at personal appearances during the early years.

In those days, collectibles like this one usually started out as a souvenir, with no thought that it would ever be valuable to anyone else. Over time, most of them were trashed. A good number are probably still in existence, but they are stashed away in closets, drawers, barns, attics, and basements. Many people still do not know they are worth more than a few dollars.

I have never seen that particular photograph, but if all four autographs are authentic, it is worth $1000, maybe more on a good day.

I have a picture of all four members with the white background. The difference is they all have their hats on but they have the same exact clothing on with a different pose and guns are in holsters. Mine is all signed with a comment on each person.
