Bing Crosby Autograph

by Cindy
(New Jersey)

My Dad had just joined the Navy in 1942 and was assigned to security at a War Bond benefit in San Francisco. Bing Crosby and Bob Hope were the stars. My Dad was "on duty" right by the stage when Bing came off stage and stood right by my Dad to watch Bob Hope. My Dad was going through his pockets to find something for Bing to autograph when a man standing next to him gave him a business card for Bing to sign. The card is from a company called Barry, Newberg & Co and the man's name was Seymour D. Barnes.

Bing Crosby

Sounds like you have a real one. Most of the Bing Crosby questions I get are about preprints. On the business card, the autograph is worth $50 - $75.
