Today at lunch, I read a review of the new biography, "Tammy Wynette: Tragic Country Queen." She was once a beautician near where I live, and she was a regular on one of our local TV shows "The Country Boy Eddie Show." She kept renewing her beauticians license for twenty years after her first big hit "Your Good Girl's Gonna Go Bad" - just in case she needed something to fall back on if her career faded.

Tammy was one of the biggest stars in country music history, and she will never be forgoten. She signed tens of thousands of autographs during her life. She was usually friendly to autograph collectors in public and often responsive to "through the mail" requests.

Even with a large supply of signed material, an autographed Tammy Wynette album is worth about $100, and that would probably be a good investment. The future will bring much higher prices for her autographs.

The vinyl's condition doesn't add any value to the album (some collectors don't care about the actual record and those who do could replace a worn copy with a better one), but the condition of the cover does make a difference.
